What we collect

When you send a nomination we keep what you type into the form: the business's name, website, email if you give it, city, province and category, your reason, your name, your email and how you know the business, plus the date you sent it.

When a nominated business takes part, we keep its answers to the five questions, the contact name and email it gives us, and the scores and notes the judges write about it.

This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising.

Why we keep it

• To check the business can enter, invite it to take part and judge it.
• To email the people involved: a copy of your nomination, the invitation to the business, and the results.
• To stop one person nominating the same business many times.

We never tell a business who nominated it, and we never sell your details.

Who processes it for us

• Vercel hosts the site and stores everything in private storage.
• Anthropic runs the AI judges. The judges read the business's details, the reasons nominators gave (without nominators' names or emails) and the business's answers. Anthropic does not use this to train its models.
• Resend sends our emails.

All three may keep data in the United States.

How long we keep it

We delete nominations, answers and judges' notes twelve months after the winners are announced, so the 2027 data is deleted by February 26, 2028. A winner's public page stays up after that.

Seeing or removing your data

Use the nomination form and choose "Not a nomination: a question or a removal request" as the category. Send it from the same email address and we will reply within 30 days. A business can stop our emails at any time with the link at the bottom of each one.
